Buyer’s Assistant

We are seeking self-motivated, computer literate and fashion conscious individuals to join our Buying Department. The successful applicant will support the Buying Team to ensure smooth running of the critical path throughout the whole buying cycle.

As a Buyer’s Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of orders and system administration
  • Managing the approval and production samples
  • Maintaining the sample library, and the Press and PR sample management
  • Maintaining the commitment and buy board
  • Liaising with Logistics, the DC and suppliers on a daily basis regarding orders and deliveries
  • Performing daily admin duties in an efficient and timely manner.

Ideally, the successful Buyer’s Assistants will:

  • Have a genuine interest in the Fashion jewellery industry
  • Ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent, in an academic of Fashion/Retail subject
  • Be numerate and literate
  • Be a committed team player
  • Be organised
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to work on their own initiative

Trainee Merchandiser

We are recruiting Trainee Merchandisers to join our Merchandising Teams to ensure that the optimum levels of stock are in the appropriate stores at the right time to maximise each store’s sales and profit potential.

 As a Trainee Merchandiser you will need to:

  • Possess strong analytical and numerical skills with knowledge of using excel and databases
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Demonstrates an awareness of Jewellery with the retail industry, awareness of trends and impact of potential threats and competitors

The main role of a Trainee Merchandiser is to:

  • Set up and manage store grading and re-grading, including identifying opportunities to grow sales or reduce markdowns through adjusting the grading
  • Ensure all new stores are appropriately stocked with a package to potentialise sales and profit
  • Allocate the initial stock quantities to stores ensuring in line with plans, reviewing each line in context of the current performance to maximise sales on every line
  • Manage the replenishment controls and replenishment factors in light of stock levels, category performance, product performance, trading calendars and seasonal trade to potentialise stock
  • Review store and online performance on an on-going basis,
  • Review store space and adjust as necessary, highlighting opportunities to the Merchandiser
  • Manage the online process and ensure stock is allocated commercially and in a timely manner
